Giorno 01 a Sigiriya

Arrivo all'aeroporto internazionale di Colombo alle ore TBA. Qui, sarai accolto da una guida con autista designata da Lakpura Travels. Dopo le formalità in aeroporto, verrai accompagnato alla tua auto con aria condizionata e proseguirai verso Sigiriya. (Tempo di viaggio: da 3 a 4 ore)

Templi della grotta di Dambulla

Entra nelle grotte storiche del Tempio d'Oro di Dambulla, risalente al I secolo a.C. Ammira gli antichi murales che raffigurano la storia della vita di Lord Gautama Buddha. Guarda le centinaia di statuette di Buddha e altre divinità sparse nelle cinque grotte principali. Visita la Grotta del Divino Re, la Grotta del Gran Re e il Grande Nuovo Monastero. Back of Beyond - Wild Haven, Dehigaha Ela

Giorno 02 a Sigiriya

Rifugio ecologico Dehigaha Ela

Camminare lungo il torrente e fare un tuffo nelle piscine naturali Questa è senza dubbio l'attività preferita dei visitatori del Dehigaha Ela Eco Lodge. Il torrente freddo e frizzante Dehigaha Ela cade nel torbido e caldo fiume Kiri Oya ai margini del lodge. Giorno 03 a Sigiriya

Fortezza rupestre di Sigiriya

Sali sulla fortezza rocciosa del V secolo d.C., Sigiriya, dove regnava il re Kasyapa. Attraversa l'ingresso incorniciato dalle zampe di un leone che è abbastanza appropriato per il suo nome, «The Lion Rock». Ammira gli splendidi murales immutabili che hanno reso famosa Sigiriya. Sali la ripida scalinata per vedere i giardini terrazzati e le cisterne ancora funzionanti. Cammina attraverso i tunnel che conducono al palazzo per farti un'idea dei tempi passati

    Day 01 in Sigiriya

    Ideal for the nature lover, the first day you will proceed form the airport to Sigiriya and en route you will make a stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple which is full of paintings and small statues depicting its history. Then you will head towards the hotel which is an Eco friendly lodge in Dehigala Ela.

    Arrive at Colombo International Airport at TBA hrs. Here, you will be met by a designated chauffer guide from Lakpura Travels. After the formalities at the airport you will be escorted to your air-conditioned Car and proceed to Sigiriya. (Travel Time: 3 to 4 Hrs)

    Dambulla Cave Temples

    Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.

    A network of red earth roads takes you deep into isolation as chena cultivation blends with high grass and thick forests. It is here that we discovered an abandoned paddy field that had become a delicate green of illuk grass; a circular clearing at the base of a hill, ringed by thick forest on the sweeping curve of two streams. A small secret place for all forms of wildlife - elephants, sambhur, birds and butterflies - to visit.

    Day 02 in Sigiriya

    Your entire day will be spent at the Wild Haven in Dehigala Ela which is dedicated to offer an eco friendly holiday that you will never forget. From cycling tours to bird watching, walks along chena farms, streams, boulders and caves to enjoying a dip in a natural pool that is along
    the stream - you will love it.

    Dehigaha Ela Eco Lodge

    Trek along the stream and have dip in the natural pools This, without doubt, is the favourite activity of visitors to Dehigaha Ela Eco Lodge. The cold and sparkling Dehigaha Ela stream falls into the murky warm Kiri Oya River at the edge of the lodge. Let the tumbling water massage you, allow the cheeky fish nibble at your toes, or just disappear in to the cool pools of water.

    Day 03 in Sigiriya

    The 3rd and final day, you will head to explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a World Heritage Site and a historical masterpiece. Standing nearly 200 meters in height, this massive rock fortress still has ruins of the palace on its pinnacle while there are wall paintings and beautifully landscaped gardens that you can explore.

    Sigiriya Rock Fortress

    Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, where the King Kasyapa ruled. Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name, 'The Lion Rock'. View the beautiful unfading murals that brought Sigiriya its fame. Climb the steep staircase to see the terraced gardens and still-working cisterns. Walk through the tunnels leading to the palace as you get a feel for times long past.

    Departure

    After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed directly to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure from Sri Lanka after spending a memorable time on the island.
